Warchal...

If you have spent any time online recently monitoring the bowed string community sites you are aware of the excitement being generated by this small string company from Slovakia.

Warchal Brilliant...

The Brilliant string set, designed for the most demanding players, offers concert-hall projection, luxurious and rich tonal complexity, as well as superior durability and responsiveness. The silver "D" produces a well focused, noble sound.
The "D" hydronalium sounds more luminous and powerful, ideal for enhancing the sonority of the middle register.

Warchal Brilliant Vintage...

The Karneol handmade string set produces well-balanced tones and velvet shadings that can be sculpted effectively. These violin strings have what Warchal calls a certain "willingness to cooperate."

Warchal Nefrit

The Nefrit string set provides superior quality for their price and are designed for musical instruments requiring more intensive bow pressure.

Warchal Ametyst...

The Ametyst handmade string set offers a rich palette of sounds with soprano shadings and distinct contours; though intended for better musical instruments, they improve fiddles in all categories.

::::::::: Who is Warchal? ::::::::::

The Warchal String company is the result of two generations of working musicians located in Borinka, Slovakia.

In 1960, Bohdan Warchal established the Slovak Chamber Orchestra and under his leadership the orchestra developed and gained worldwide recognition. During his 40 years of directing the orchestra, he produced more than 150 records and CDs. He also taught at several prestigious universities.

His son, Bohdan Warchal, Jr., graduated from Academy of Performing Arts in Prague, Czech Republic and has been a member and later the concertmaster of the Slovak Chamber Orchestra. Warchal strings came into existence because Bohdan Jr. was unable to find a violin string that satisfied his needs and decided to see if he could produce his own. He pulled together a team of experts and, drawing on two generations of extensive playing experience, he began experimenting.The result is a line of strings
tailor made by players for players.
