We just received our first shipment of the new carbon fiber cello endpins from the workshop of Semmy Stahlhammer in Sweden. Weighing in at around 4 ounces they have to be one of the lightest endpins on the market today. They feature Stahlhammer’s trademark two position locking angle allowing them to be used in a straight position or at a 25 degree angle. The 25 degree angle makes the cello steadier and relieves the weight on the player’s chest by shifting the instrument’s balance point. Fitting is easy, the shaft is fully retractable for easy storage and It comes with a replaceable tip made of hardened steel. Stahlhammer has called on his many years of playing experience to create an endpin that should pique the interest of just about any cellist looking for a more comfortable playing experience.
